Heart of the Matter, Issue #001 -- Know your Cardiac Risk
July 21, 2012

Evaluate Heart Disease Risk

Prevention of heart disease is easy to do. The first step in knowing your risk is knowing your cholesterol scores from recent blood testing. Then it is a matter of plugging those numbers into the cardiac risk calculator to determine your 10 year risk.

The numbers from the risk calculator are based on data received from the Framingham heart study. A study that is ongoing over generations of family members starting from the 1950's.
