Jamaican Jerk Marinade

Welcome the taste of the Caribbean with this exceptional Jamaican jerk marinade.  Add some spice to your life with capsaicin’s a great way to fight inflammation. Chronic inflammation is the beginning of heart disease. Fight inflammation with these great herb combinations while adding a Jamaican flare. Together the healing power of omega 3’s this marinade is sure to please.  Marinade your favourite meat in this sauce and be instantly whisked away on any Caribbean getaway.  The picture above shows chicken with this marinade. I baked the chicken in the oven, but with BBQ season in full swing, with this marinade on any meat, can only be called a tasty treat!


1 Red pepper

1 Leek

1 Onion

3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp Olive oil

2 tbsp Balsamic vinegar

2 tsp Raw sugar

2 tsp Thyme

1 tsp Sea salt

1 tbsp Allspice

½ tsp Nutmeg

½ tsp Cinnamon

1 tbsp Soy sauce

Finely chop the red pepper, leek and onion add all ingredients in a blender until pureed well. Makes 2 cups and will keep for 4 days refrigerated.

 

Marinade any meat in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours for full flavour.
