Fish Balls

Fish balls are a great alternative to regular meat balls.  Adding variety to everyday dishes is easy with these easy to make and tasty treat. Add these balls to any pasta dish or have them as a party snack.  These balls have what it takes to stand alone or mix it up in your favourite dish.  Jammed pack with omega 3's and protein, a healthy way to make your heart and belly happy.

2 packs (700g each) Tilapia

1 cup Flour

1 tbsp Thyme

1 tbsp Cilantro

1 pack Chopped frozen Spinach

¾ cup Parmesan cheese

4 slices Whole wheat Bread (crusts removed)

2 Eggs

100 mls Olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Thaw fish as directed on package. Chop fine.
  2. In a food processor make bread into bread crumbs
  3. Defrost spinach as directed on package and drain excess water
  4. in a large bowl combine Fish, cilantro, Thyme,  spinach, whole wheat bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, 2 eggs and salt and pepper
  5. use mixture to make into small balls
  6. coat balls in flour and set aside
  7. heat oil in a skillet on medium heat until hot
  8. cook balls in skillet for 3 minutes until golden brown and set aside on paper towel
